Hire Facilities

 

At the new Fromus Centre we now offer an amazing range of newly refurbished facilities to hire

including a large hall (with an adjoining state-of-art kitchen),

two main meeting rooms and 'The Cabin'.

We are less than 10 minutes walk from the rail station,

less than 5 minutes walk from the 64/521 bus stop (in the High Street) and

we also have a large private, and monitored, car park onsite (with reserved disability parking).

There is space for a coach drop off / turning point / parking.

The car park is lit at night and the Fromus Centre also has

additional motion-sensor lighting, as you approach from the car park.

TWO ENTRANCES

At the front of the Fromus Centre (on Street Farm Road, opposite Fromus Vets) there is a pedestrian entrance, behind The Cabin. This is lit up at night.

If you come by car, there is parking to the rear (accessed from Street Farm Road), opposite the footpath to the park and behind the library. There is a rear entrance from the car park, at the far end of the Saxmundham Hub complex.

HALL

11m x 9m (99m2) with vinyl floor covering.

Capacities determined by fire regulations is as follows:

  • Standing/Party/Disco = 190 persons
  • Seated in rows = 97 persons
  • Dining/Conference seated at tables = 64 persons

Why not rent our welcoming hall? Whether its a birthday party, anniversary party, wedding party, social gathering, community group, leisure club, small business conference or in fact any other occasion that requires a spacious, private area, our hall is the place for you.

The hall comes with a wall-mounted TV, with an HDMI cable to connect to a laptop, for training or gaming purposes and a wall-mounted whiteboard for use with water-soluble pens.

There is also an high resolution overhead projector and electronic drop-down screen for films or presentations and a 4-speaker amplified sound system.

Please don't hesitate if you wish to provide food for the occasion and, if you would like to make the food yourself, why not make full use our excellent modern kitchen facilities (with a serving hatch to the hall) too?

 

 

KITCHEN

The contemporary commercial kitchen (included in the hall booking, with a serving hatch to the hall) comes with 2 induction hobs (with 8 burners), 2 ovens, a commercial dishwasher, a microwave, a large fridge / freezer, a hot-water dispenser and 3 sink facilities.

CONFERENCE ROOM

7.6m x 4m = 30.4m2

The room can comfortably accommodate 15 persons seated at tables 20 persons max.

This room is furnished with table and chairs in conference format, with white board (water-soluble pens only) and flipchart. Teas and coffees can be made in the kitchen.

This room is perfect for small meetings, briefings and social gatherings.

'THE CABIN'

Approx 4.0m x 3.5m

The Cabin is suitable for groups up to 12 people.

The Cabin is furnished with carpet, tables and chairs.

This recently refurbished PortaKabin is stand-alone and self-contained - with a small kitchenette area (with hot and cold running water) and its own toilet.

It is adjacent to the main building, close to the Conference Room.

We have high-speed WiFi broadband internet fibred to the site, a baby-changing facility, disabilty access and toilets.

You supply: flipchart paper, water-soluble pens

Opening times:

Seven days a week: 9am-10pm (extensions by prior arrangement)
