Welcome to The Fromus Centre!
The Fromus Centre, situated in Saxmundham on the rural coast of Suffolk, is a new community enterprise centre that has been created to provide Saxmundham and surrounding communities with a full range of facilities including a large hall, kitchen, general meeting rooms and an IT suite for hire. And, all these facilities are available at a very affordable cost, with rooms from as little as £3 per hour for local community and voluntary groups.

The Fromus Centre provides a wide range of social, training & learning, leisure & recreational opportunities, and the building is fully accessible for wheelchair users and has accessible toilets and changing facilities. As well as community activities and parties, the Fromus Centre hall is equipped for conferences and public meetings, with comfortable seats (and folding tables) for up to 70 people (and more with notice). Smaller rooms are available for other meetings and break-out rooms.There is also a fully functioning kitchen, with 3 cooking units.

The Fromus Centre is located close to the A12, bus routes and the Saxmundham rail station - and comes with plenty of free car parking!

This community enterprise is being carried out by the local social enterprise, The Saxmundham & District Community Interest Company (SADCIC), as a co-production with Suffolk County Council. The new Fromus Centre is a leading example of the new strategic "Our Place" initiative, delivering the "Big Society" on the ground in Saxmundham. SADCIC aims to invigorate the building (formerly known as the Saxmundham Community Resource Unit) and turn it into a thriving and vibrant centre for community activities.
